I would love to go to a rock gym.

Nice job on improvising.

Since there was nothing resembling a gym, I decided to workout with what mother nature provided. There were rocks of all shapes and sizes on the beach, so for that Summer I had a membership to “Rock Gym.” There were also logs involved and straight tree branches for pull ups. I got shredded! No supplements, no iron. Two others in the camp also started working out with me. Good times.

In the grand scheme, doesn’t really matter. Chins work biceps slightly more but it’s not a huge deal.

Do what you like and what makes you happy. That simplifies 99% of fitness.

Now, I’m just focusing on really good form and challenging weight for the major compound movements. I also read that I couldn’t build an impressive physique if I did too much “cardio” at the expense of weights, but I really enjoy swimming and do that more than weights. So guess what’s happening? Swimming is really what has given me sculpted shoulders and a more pronounced “V” shape. You are absolutely right – find what works for you, and what you love, and then rock it.

Thanks — I figured it’d be around that number.

Keith,

I know you can do pullups with a LOT of weight with low reps, but how many strict-form, unweighted pullups can you do?

I’m curious how the heavy lifting correlates to bodyweight exercise capability for you, personally.

This is not a trick question, I promise. ha

Yeah it all “works” but of course it depends on your goals too. You can’t build substantial amounts of muscle with just p90x or bodyweight stuff.
