Sorry! I don’t know if I missed it but using your wrist measurement how do you calculate your ideal chest measurement please? Thanks

She has no hourglass figure and i dont even think her face is much beyond girl next door-cute. But sexy? noooo way.

I’m an athletic girl. I’ve been doing sports for most of my life, and the last two years ago I’ve stopped. Figure wise, I’ve got an athletic, masculine body that I can’t seem to shake off. My hips do not curve at all. My shoulders are medium, and the same as my medium, undefined waist. I’ve got relatively big boobs, but no cleavage because they’re too far apart on my broad body. My thighs are strong enough to break a guy’s head. I don’t want to be masculine, I want to be feminine, but every time I do the smallest amount of conditioning or weight lifting, I get super muscular. I’m not even exaggerating, I do one round of squats and my thighs physically grow and I have no idea how to get rid of this. Honestly it’s gotten to the point where I wouldn’t mind being chubby if I just looked more feminine.

The measurements he provided are close to what is provided when you look up the standard physique that was considered ideal as far as Grecian Architecture.

I suggest using that method for measurement because it takes everything in to account and the Golden Standard is still used just not expressly in the calculations.

Start with measuring the smallest part of your wrist to get your ideal chest measurement. That measurement is the one you need for the calculations.

Hips= Chest x .85
Waist= Chest x .7
Thighs= Chest x .53
Neck= Chest x .37
Forearm= Chest x .29
Calves= Chest x .34
Upper Arm= Waist x .40
Shoulders= Waist x .77

When you go in and use the ideal figures discussed in the article you’ll find the measurements are close to the same. The difference is that using the wrist or ankle measurement to determine an average baseline, it helps add in some of the bone size.

Jessica Biel is an inverted triangle shape with shoulders considerably wider than her hips. She has a decidedly athletic build. Jennifer Anniston is a rectangle shape, with little waist definition. None of the three women that Keith mentions have a classic hourglass shape with a very defined waist, but Kate Beckinsdale comes closest. When I think of the perfect shape, Halle Berry and Victoria’s Secret model Candace Swanpoel come to mind. Both women have very defined waists and shoulders that are the same width as their hips. I guess that the Golden Ratio results in a more athletic ideal.

I do find since achieving these proportions, more compliments from both genders are coming my way. Great article, Keith.
