3.Ill health is caused by the over consumption of overall calories and gaining fat

5.Single ingredient foods like beef,chicken,fish,potatoes ,fruit and veg are better choices than burgers/fries donuts and candy because of the volume they provide when eating in a calorie deficet

Yes, quantities are crucial and eating bacon once a month won’t make you unhealty, but it is unhealty per se: something to be consumed seldom, an awful eating choice with so many healtier options.
According to your logic Coca Cola is just as healty as water, if not more because “you can drink a glass of Cola and be fine, but if you drink 10 litres of water you can die of water intoxication”. Please.

BUT if the cap fits I must wear it….Thanks for all the excellent “to the point info” …. am trying the one meal a day diet, second day today…. weight currently 252 (am 5ft 7 inches) (how embarrassing)! At the moment exercise is 15 minutes on my Tony Little Elite Gazelle (using his DVD for beginners) which is 5 minute warm up 10 minute fairly high intensity exercises 5 minute warm down (cushions knees) I am knackered after and out of breath and hot (not sweating)… and swimming for one hour 3 X a week, I can swim 1 mile in an hour using front crawl….. I just keep going at a steady pace and it is hard work…… if I succeed at losing 50 pounds by September 2016 I will let you know…. because reading your excellent articles will be the catalyst to helping me find a way to reinvent my life…… thanks… you remind me of my sons (the way you write is the way they speak too)….. made me think of them and smile…… Regards Heather (UK)

I just found it on myfitnesspal and shocked at the results. So, my 12 cup popcorn bowl is around 365cal and 75grams of carbs! Now thats a lot of carbs. I’m a big time myfitnesspal user and I can keep my protein to 100 g and calories at 1800 total but my carbs at easily at 300g because of the popcorn. Is that to much if im trying to lose weight. I want to have visible abs and I think thats way to many carbs. Does that matter even though I can keep my calories below 2000 everyday.?
