Note: This post is not meant to target those who are vegetarians for religious reasons or those who are vegetarians because they have some chronic disease that doesn’t allow them to eat meat. Instead, I’m targeting every single idiot out there who is a vegetarian for reasons like animal cruelty and health benefits.
Edit 9/10/14: Alright time to clear some air here. I started FitMole back in June 2011 and wrote this article in Aug 2011. Back when I started the blog I was trying to discover the best way to generate more traffic. So I thought to myself, “what’s the best way to get people talking?” So I came up with this article and the slightly edgy, and some might even call immature headline. And yes, I know the article can be seen as a bit offensive and ignorant. I still stand by my claims 100% that going vegetarian isn’t healthier than eating meat, but I do take full responsibility for some of the slightly ignorant comments I’ve made about animal cruelty. Other than that, can the person who keeps sending me death threat emails stop now 🙂
First off I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I normally don’t swear in the post title, but I just have to emphasize how stupid it is to become a vegetarian. It’s stupid, ridiculous, unnecessary, stupid, and did I mention it’s FUCKING stupid.
I have a couple of friends and family members that are vegetarians, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate them. I just can’t understand why they decided to follow this lifestyle.
When I ask them why they decided to become a vegetarian, they give me reasons like “Oh, it makes me feel good,” “Because meat is bad for your health,” or “I don’t want to harm animals.” Whenever I hear these reasons, I just put on my best “nod and pretend to agree with you” face.

So why is becoming a vegetarian stupid? Lets take a look:
1) You aren’t saving the lives of animals
I get it. You don’t like it when the heads of baby cows and pigs are chopped off, but do you really think eating that tofu burger is saving lives.
Fruits, vegetables, and grains are a staple among vegetarian diets, but did you know that millions of animals die just so you can enjoy that piece of bread? Eating foods like grains means destroying ecosystems and all of its inhabitants. It means killing all the little animals, birds, bugs, and microorganisms that live among the fields.
Do you know how many little animals and microorganisms die when farmers use machines to plow through wheat fields? The answer is a lot more than 1 cow.
As cheesy as it sounds, everything in life requires sacrifice. Animals are killed to get meat and ecosystems are destroyed to get grains. So the next time I’m eating a steak, don’t you dare judge me for killing a cow.
2) There is absolutely zero scientific proof showing that going vegetarian is healthy
When I want to believe something, I need proof. I need definite scientific proof.
And no, proof doesn’t mean reading a quote in Shape or MensHealth magazine. In order to convince me about anything I need to see a scientific study that shows causation not correlation.
For example, eating less food will make you loss weight. This is a stone cold fact that will remain true no matter what.
However, there is absolutely ZERO proof showing that going vegetarian will decrease your risk of heart disease, cancer, or whatever nasty stuff you can think of.
The only thing we have are thousands of studies showing a correlation between an increased risk of disease and an increase in meat consumption. We have studies that conclude that eating meat “may increase” your risk of heart disease, but this doesn’t mean crap. It’s inconclusive and doesn’t prove anything. Saying that your risk of heart disease “may increase” from eating red meat is like saying you “may” be able to breath fire if you eat enough jalapenos.
And yes, before you get all crazy on me, I have read the China Study a.k.a the vegetarian’s wet dream. For those who don’t know, the China Study was a big study conducted by Dr. Campbell who basically concluded that meat is killer.
While the China Study garnered a ton of media attention a couple years ago, it is also an incredibly flawed study despite it’s massive scale. But talking about all the flaws in the China Study is beyond the scope of this article, so let me turn you over to a great article written by Denise Minger of Raw Food SOS. She did an amazing job in analyzing the China Study and basically debunked every single aspect of it.
People need to stop believing the mainstream media, and need to start looking at the actual research and facts.
[The leaders of anti-vegetarians]
3) You don’t get to eat meat
I know this is a bit obvious, but being a vegetarian means that you don’t get to eat meat. EVER. That means no steak, bacon, horse, or BBQ ribs. The closest thing you’ll ever get to meat is some glued together crap made of wheat and soy.
And please, don’t tell me that your veggie burger tastes better than my double bacon cheeseburger, okay? Don’t tell me “Oh, but it tastes just like the real thing.” No it doesn’t, you rationalizing crazy person. It doesn’t matter how hard you try, a piece of tofu will never taste as good as a greasy piece of beef.
So if vegetarians are so concerned about their health, then why do they opt for highly processed foods likes breads and cereals that are not found in nature as opposed to real animal meat which has been around since…. forever. It makes no freakin sense.
4) Vegetarians are actually eating animals without knowing it!
This past summer, I took a Biology 101 class at a community college to fulfill some general education requirements for my degree. While the class was a complete waste of my time and I pretty much bull-shitted my way through it, I did learn something quite interesting.
I learned about the food web, which is basically description of “who eats who” in the environment.
It goes something like this:
fox eats rabbit => fox poops into the soil => the living soil then absorbs the poop(which includes the rabbit) => fruit and vegetable plants absorb that exact same soil to grow => humans eat those same fruits and vegetables
This process happens EVERYWHERE in nature.
So even if you’re a vegetarian, you’re technically eating dead animals, albeit in a more indirect liquid form. But last time I checked, vegetarians were all about saving lives no matter what.
Don’t be a vegetarian
Despite everything you’ve heard, vegetarians are NOT the health conscious animal saving saints that they’re made out to be.
Instead, vegetarians:
- Support the destruction of ecosystems to obtain their food
- Kill millions of small animals, bugs, and microorganisms
- Aren’t saving their health since there’s absolutely zero scientific proof showing that meat is bad for you
- Are actually eating meat without knowing it
- Are simply misinformed about every aspect of the vegetarian lifestyle
So if you’re a vegetarian, then hopefully I’ve done my job to piss you off beyond belief, and if I converted you, then that’s cool too.
Once again, the only reason why you should be a vegetarian is for religious reasons or because you have a some chronic disease that doesn’t allow you to eat meat. But even if you’re a vegetarian for religious reasons, you might want to start questioning the logic behind your beliefs, just saying.
Alright guys, be sure to share this article with every single vegetarian you know, and to close out this article I have 3 parting words:
FUCK YOU PETA

i wish meatatarians would just shut the fuck up.
but they won’t.. never will, then stalk us all the time bitching about us luring us to make commentary with them.
get a life,,, blow it out your ass already.
shut UP!
now go play with yourself.
dint like, dont click on it. if you see something likw this on the internet, dont click on it, I understand everyone has their opinions. but hate commenting wont help. this person want hating, he was just showing some facts that are true or maybe not. the trueth of the matter is, you can put anything on the internet ANYTHING and people belive you. even if you say you found a dinosaur bone in your toliet, people will believe you. long story short, dont like it, dont click on it
*Singsongs* Oohh How i like.. BEAT.. my MEAT!….
You do realize becoming a vegetarian is in-fact healthy? and there is literal, brilliant scientific proof that being a vegetarian if health beneficial. First of all, vegetarians are a hell of a lot smarter than the meat eaters that are constantly consuming hormones, pesticides, drugs that farmers put into the meat to make the animal grow bigger than it ever would have naturally.. just so people could have more meat in their stomachs. From my point of view, being a vegetarian can only be unhealthy if you don’t get enough protein (which is easilly obtained from beans, potein shakes etc.) Did you know that the burger that you think is “healthy” from Mcdonalds could have actually have cow shit in it? cows often stand in their manure all day, so when they go to a slaughter house to be beaten with rods, torn open, and branded.. they have their own shit all over their bodies. What a healthy snack! You said something about how animals aren’t abused at all? well sir, any normal person would know what they do to the animals that you put in your stomach and turn into shit hours later. Do your research. I’ve been a vegetarian for years now! and I feel absolutely great, in shape, and my doctor even says I’m much more healthy than the average person and/or meat eater. Did you know the longest living man on earth (born in 1896) is in-fact a vegetarian? it has been scientifically proved that vegetarians that don’t slack off their diet and keep healthy have much better chances of living much longer. There’s your scientific proof, I hope you have fun eating factory meat that increases your chances of cancer, illness, heart disease, and countless other risk.
oh god this is gold. Your comment is perfect Jackie! the only thing that can ruin this beautiful display of idiocy was if it was fake. I hope to god that you aren’t just a troll or a 12 year old girl.
Please reread what you wrote, look over your supporting arguments, take in the message you conveyed to your audience and laugh with me. laugh with me and alongside the rest of the internet as we come together in harmony and laugh at your comment!
wait…so this person doesnt think the plants they eat have literal shit all over them, ive been a professional cook for years, and ive got news for you. plants are covered in bugs, dirt, shit, slime, and rot…just to name a few disgusting things. pesticides dont just wash off, they’re absorbed into the plant. simply put, both meat and plants are disgusting, i dont condemn anyone for they’re beliefs, but people do need to be more informed before they make they’re comments sometimes. by the way, you should look up how fras grois is made just for kicks
and you trolling sites that speak against vegetarians is not stalking, really.
Hello! I think i need to comment about your opinion about 1 opinion. All animals need to kill lives for live oneself. But, you said vegetarians kill little bugs and microorganism. Yes! We kill them all. And you said 1 cow is better. This thinking has problem. If people want to eat cow, people need to feed to cow. Cows are eating hay or grains like that. More animals are dead for growing up hay and grains for feeding 1 cow than people are growing up to eat grains and vegetable. It is already proved. Vegetarians just want to kill less animals. Not kill them all. So you cant blame vegetarians about killing animals.
You don’t understand… fertilizer is used to add nitrogen back into the soil, which comes from animals.
If vegetarians had their way, we wouldn’t kill animals, period. Meaning, we’d use up endless amounts of land just to regrow fruits and the earth would become depleted.
with fertilizer, we can refertilize the land that we’re already using. So then basically we don’t have to keep using more and more land, which destoys the ecosystem.
Many alternative fertilizers come from animal wastes. Using animal wastes to create fertilizers does not kill animals, yet people choose not to do that. Tell me why we still have to use fertilizers that come from animal products? To me, that doesn’t make any sense at all.
Wow, what a fucking stupid article!
Idiots clearly shouldn’t be left unsupervised near a computer.
Such as yourself? I agree.
Hahaha so many butthurt fanatic vegans! How the hell did they get here in the first place anyway? Don’t like it, don’t click it, simple as that! The article is just stating facts. Go grab some broccoli and shove it up your ass to relieve your butt pain.
Oh my god haha, you people are so ignorant it’s hilarious.
You are living proof of that
There is every fault in your points.
1) We aren’t saving the lives of animals
Okay, so you don’t seem to understand the concept of vegetarianism and veganism… Personally, I don’t eat meat because I don’t want to eat a dead pig, or a dead cow, or a dead chicken that has done nothing wrong, I couldn’t live with myself knowing that I had just eaten something that once walked around and enjoyed life. Animals have feelings, emotions, nerves, personalities. You just took away the life of something that had done no wrong, something that lived peacefully until someone chopped off its’ head, processed it into a burger, and sold it in a grocery market, where you likely bought it.
So basically, I don’t think that me believing that it’s wrong to eat animals is going to save them, or cause some big revolution. It’s just my personal belief.
2) There’s no proof that being a vegetarian is healthy
Well, some people value animal life more than health. I am not a vegetarian because it will make me skinny, or healthy, I am a vegetarian because it makes me feel better about myself and because I believe that this is the right way of life. And besides, I’m obviously much healthier than someone who eats burgers and bacon. I eat grains, vegetables, fruits, etc., which ARE scientifically proven to be healthier than meat.
3) We don’t get to eat meat
Wow… I can’t emphasize the stupidity of this statement. Why is this the most idiotic thing I’ve ever read about anti-vegetarianism? Let’s look into that. 🙂
Firstly, do you think that I WANT to eat meat? NO! Of course I don’t! If I did, I would eat it. Believe me, this has nothing to do with taste. If I can live a healthy life without having to consume animal corpses, which I certainly can, than that’s exactly what I’m going to do, and have been doing my whole life.
Second, tofu and soy meat is delicious. It is in fact healthy, at least healthier than that shit you shove into your mouth. Maybe it’s not as good as real meat, but I wouldn’t know, so I’m not really missing out on that, but it tastes pretty damn good and it’s an excellent source of protein. I can obviously live a longer, healthier life than someone who eats meat, and if that means never eating dead animals, than I really prefer it to your lifestyle.
4) We’re killing animals
So are you, we’re just killing less than you. 🙂
It doesn’t matter if you’re a vegetarian to try and stop animal ‘slaughter’, animals will still be killed for their meat, etc. Becoming a vegetarian will not make a difference, as humans are naturally omnivorous, and most will stay as such. And vegetarian diets are actually not as healthy as omnivorous diets, and you are an idiot if you believe as such. Same for carnivores.
ever see a “healthy” vegetarian? NO. what you see are scrawny, skinny, pasty skinned weaklings. why being a vegan MUST be tied to being a slacker, loser, pale skinned, smelly non-washing liberal, remains a mystery. pull those incisors out, remove those canines, and chew your smelly hippy cud, with your remain molars and pre-molars. when you ride your bike downtown to get your welfare check, be sure to leave extra early. your puny, frail, patchoulie stinking corpse-like body, will need lots of breaks, due to lack of a protein rich diet.
1st of all, the main reason why a lot of people don’t eat meat is actually because of the way animals are treated in food production industries. Hundreds of years ago, their heads would’ve just been chopped off and that would’ve been it. But today, animals are cooped up for their entire lives, abused, fed horrible food, skinned alive and their throats are slit which in some cases does not result in death. Those little animals and microorganisms or the field are killed instantly 90% of the time. There is no way to avoid killing them unless you grown your own fruits and vegetables which by the way, many vegetarians and vegans also do. and, eating meat harms the environment as well. Sure, ecosystems are destroyed when farmers grow food on fields. But more ecosystems are destroyed when you add animals into that equation. Now farmers are creating the “ideal” landscape for raising animals. Water movement is blocked, trees are cut down to create room for factories, untreated animal waste flows down streams, factories create pollution, and greenhouse-gas emissions are created through animal agriculture. Sure, many of these animals would die if we stopped taking care of them-but at least they would be allowed to live for the prime of their life and wouldn’t be abused, tortured, or killed in a way that is inhumane. Believe it or not, some of these animals (especially pigs) are actually very smart and actually have their own little nerve endings and organs and blood cells and veins and arteries and such. They deserve to live a good life, and were never allowed to. I’m not saying people need to cut out all meat, that will never happen. We need protein from somewhere, and soy and legumes cannot provide all of it. But please consider some of these points before completely missing the point of vegetarianism.
i agree
thankfully there are some people that are smart and think of what there going to say before blurting it out
hello
Im sorry to say but im vegan and im also a lot healthier fitter than whoever installed this site
i completly disagree no matter what you tell me
there has been scientifically so many searches through out the whole entire WORLD on veganism it is classed that most dairy products cause all cancers… etc
im not going to carry on but if you want to have a full on argument on this subject JUST SAY
please dont make me angry for such a stupid thing
Fuck meat eaters
sorry you are not my type
I don’t know which is better… reading this pathetic article or reading the ignorant comments that go with it.
the author of this article has their self a solid group of followers that’s for sure
1. Firstly, if you’re going to make a claim, actually read peer reviewed research articles, not from idiot dense websites and blogs. I get that this was intended to evoke responses from people like myself, so it’s worked, but I’m glad to take the time to share my opinion.
The overwhelming evidence is that our evolutionary biology is developed for a PRIMARILY plant based diet. That means eating incredibly scarce amounts of meat. I’m not saying don’t eat meat all together, but most people require 1/20th the amount of meat they eat, and 0% of any processed sh*t that is mass produced now days. As primates we ate bugs and scavenged on the odd carcass. We certainly didn’t eat meat as the basis of our diets, nor was it or should it ever be the primary source of our protein.
2. Find a disease process that is directly linked with a plant based diet. You can’t. Because for for 85 million years we didn’t eat or need meat. Sure, we CAN eat meat, but the resources our body uses to digest, process and metabolise it are extremely high and disproportionate to the nutrients it offers.
3. The justification that canine and incisor teeth are for meat eating just emphasises the ignorance of not only dentistry, but a basic concept of sharp objects, and blunt objects.
It’s like saying you only use a chainsaw for cutting up cows.
*pacepalm.
Actually look up the teeth structures of primates, herbivores and carnivores. Don’t just re-hash some bs line you’d see on FB.
4. The argument that vegetarians kills bugs too. Lmao.
That’s the equivalent of saying, you trod on an ant, so you’re going to hell. Micro-organisms, bugs, etc, live in harmony with the environment, support life and every ecosystem. There are billions of trillions of them in a square km. Not 1 cow taking up acres of crops, swimming pools or water reserves and creating tonnes of pollution to be grown purely for a few steaks.
The ecological resources needed for sustaining a plant based diet are tiny fractions to that of industrial agriculture. You can sustain a human diet in a standard backyard sized garden, which regenerates. Once an animal dies, it doesn’t grow back. Animal agriculture is incredibly resource, time and energy counter-productive not to mention it is the single greatest cause of worldwide natural destruction and global warming than all fossil fuel, energy and transport CO2 production combined. Fact.
Sadly these facts are swept under the carpet from the general public because there is simply far too much invested in animal agriculture and meat production industries (who line the pockets of governments).
5. I love eating meat and sure, it tastes great. But we simply don’t NEED it anywhere as much as we’re told. I’m not saying go Vegetarian or Vegan, I would strongly suggest in fact that people should eat a balanced diet that CAN include SOME meat, but 80+% of your diet should be plant based.
Your health outcomes, life expectancy, risk of chronic disease and general well being will be infinitely better than eating animal based foods every meal, let alone each day.
Do yourself a favour and actually look up the documentaries on the benefits of a plant based diet and give it a go for a week, month, or longer. I did and I’ve never felt or looked better.
Before the haters suggest I’m a “scrawny, pasty, tired, sickness ridden tree hugger”, I’d like to mention I’m 180cm, 83kg, 9% bf, bench 130kg, squat 175kg, deadlift 170kg can do 30 consecutive chin-ups, run the 100 in 11.5 seconds and 10km in 37min. You can be be fit, lean and strong on a plant based diet without eating kilos of meat.
Get educated, get off the mass market bandwagon and get yourself healthy.
All the best.
I have read the china study and its a bunch of bull, fact is that most humans have to eat meat, we need iron, men need meat to produce testosterone, i am 42y old, get my T levels check each year with my yearly blood test, and i am in the 700 free level which is quit good at my age, my diet is simple i cook with extra virgin coconut oil, eat whole eggs, meat and olive oil. I have read a few vegetarian books and its all the same crap animal rights propaganda nothing more. Most people i know that are vegetarian lack energy, are pale, i live in Canada so winter time is hard here, and most of them are always sick. So for me its a big finger at vegetarian diets. I also practice intermittent fasting its a real blessing, and i eat around 120g of protein like i read in brad pilon books very well worth buying BTW.
Gotta tell you the truth, I came here googling “vegetarian stupid” just for a laugh. I am a vegetarian. Have been one for most of my life. And I have fun reading stuff about how being vegetarian is stupid. Just for a laugh. I don’t even know why. I just find it funny to read what people say about how you shouldn’t be a veggie.
The truth is that I don’t care about the animals, I am a vegetarian because I hate plants. No just joking. I just find it gross to eat meat and fish. Very simple reason. I mean that stuff is dead and as much as plants that we eat have to die too.. It still looks different. There’s blood involved and all that stuff. It’s not about the ethical issue. I just find it gross. I could be a murderer or a serial killer, and that’s fine (I mean, it’s bad) but one thing is killing someone, another thing is taking the corpse and start eating its flesh.. I mean that’s beyond horrible. (Not comparing animals to humans, just explaining how it feels to me.. Eating something dead and rotting away)
I guess working in the operating theatre doesn’t help either, when we take a piece of whatever out of someone’s body we treat it as hazardous waste and wouldn’t touch it without gloves ever and all that stuff and you know, when you see meat it kind of remind you of stuff you’ve seen in the op. theatre… Kinda puts you off…
Cheers anyway.
Magaidh.
I am vegetarian sorry bro 🙂
Actually yeah, Fuck PETA, not because of their vegan diets though.
Fuck PETA because they kill thousands upon thousands of healthy, adoptable animals per year for the following reasons:
They think pets=slaves
They think animals are ”better dead than fed”
They believe all pets are miserable
They find joy in it
No really. Their founder, Ingrid Newkirk? She takes animals into her office and kills them on her desk via injection because she likes too. She’s admitted it.
FUCK PETA.
