4 Reasons Why Becoming A Vegetarian Is A Fucking Stupid Idea

October 5, 2014 | 1674 Comments

Note: This post is not meant to target those who are vegetarians for religious reasons or those who are vegetarians because they have some chronic disease that doesn’t allow them to eat meat. Instead, I’m targeting every single idiot out there who is a vegetarian for reasons like animal cruelty and health benefits.

Edit 9/10/14: Alright time to clear some air here. I started FitMole back in June 2011 and wrote this article in Aug 2011. Back when I started the blog I was trying to discover the best way to generate more traffic. So I thought to myself, “what’s the best way to get people talking?” So I came up with this article and the slightly edgy, and some might even call immature headline. And yes, I know the article can be seen as a bit offensive and ignorant. I still stand by my claims 100% that going vegetarian isn’t healthier than eating meat, but I do take full responsibility for some of the slightly ignorant comments I’ve made about animal cruelty. Other than that, can the person who keeps sending me death threat emails stop now 🙂

First off I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I normally don’t swear in the post title, but I just have to emphasize how stupid it is to become a vegetarian. It’s stupid, ridiculous, unnecessary, stupid, and did I mention it’s FUCKING stupid.

I have a couple of friends and family members that are vegetarians, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate them. I just can’t understand why they decided to follow this lifestyle.

When I ask them why they decided to become a vegetarian, they give me reasons like “Oh, it makes me feel good,” “Because meat is bad for your health,” or “I don’t want to harm animals.” Whenever I hear these reasons, I just put on my best “nod and pretend to agree with you” face.

So why is becoming a vegetarian stupid? Lets take a look:

1) You aren’t saving the lives of animals

I get it. You don’t like it when the heads of baby cows and pigs are chopped off, but do you really think eating that tofu burger is saving lives.

Fruits, vegetables, and grains are a staple among vegetarian diets, but did you know that millions of animals die just so you can enjoy that piece of bread? Eating foods like grains means destroying ecosystems and all of its inhabitants. It means killing all the little animals, birds, bugs, and microorganisms that live among the fields.

Do you know how many little animals and microorganisms die when farmers use machines to plow through wheat fields? The answer is a lot more than 1 cow.

As cheesy as it sounds, everything in life requires sacrifice. Animals are killed to get meat and ecosystems are destroyed to get grains. So the next time I’m eating a steak, don’t you dare judge me for killing a cow.

2) There is absolutely zero scientific proof showing that going vegetarian is healthy

When I want to believe something, I need proof. I need definite scientific proof.

And no, proof doesn’t mean reading a quote in Shape or MensHealth magazine. In order to convince me about anything I need to see a scientific study that shows causation not correlation.

For example, eating less food will make you loss weight.  This is a stone cold fact that will remain true no matter what.

However, there is absolutely ZERO proof showing that going vegetarian will decrease your risk of heart disease, cancer, or whatever nasty stuff you can think of.

The only thing we have are thousands of studies showing a correlation between an increased risk of disease and an increase in meat consumption. We have studies that conclude that eating meat “may increase” your risk of heart disease, but this doesn’t mean crap. It’s inconclusive and doesn’t prove anything. Saying that your risk of heart disease “may increase” from eating red meat is like saying you “may” be able to breath fire if you eat enough jalapenos.

And yes, before you get all crazy on me, I have read the China Study a.k.a the vegetarian’s wet dream. For those who don’t know, the China Study was a big study conducted by Dr. Campbell who basically concluded that meat is killer.

While the China Study garnered a ton of media attention a couple years ago, it is also an incredibly flawed study despite it’s massive scale. But talking about all the flaws in the China Study is beyond the scope of this article, so let me turn you over to a great article written by Denise Minger of Raw Food SOS. She did an amazing job in analyzing the China Study and basically debunked every single aspect of it.

People need to stop believing the mainstream media, and need to start looking at the actual research and facts.

 [The leaders of anti-vegetarians]

3) You don’t get to eat meat

I know this is a bit obvious, but being a vegetarian means that you don’t get to eat meat. EVER. That means no steak, bacon, horse, or BBQ ribs. The closest thing you’ll ever get to meat is some glued together crap made of wheat and soy.

And please, don’t tell me that your veggie burger tastes better than my double bacon cheeseburger, okay? Don’t tell me “Oh, but it tastes just like the real thing.” No it doesn’t, you rationalizing crazy person. It doesn’t matter how hard you try, a piece of tofu will never taste as good as a greasy piece of beef.

So if vegetarians are so concerned about their health, then why do they opt for highly processed foods likes breads and cereals that are not found in nature as opposed to real animal meat which has been around since…. forever. It makes no freakin sense.

4) Vegetarians are actually eating animals without knowing it!

This past summer, I took a Biology 101 class at a community college to fulfill some general education requirements for my degree. While the class was a complete waste of my time and I pretty much bull-shitted my way through it, I did learn something quite interesting.

I learned about the food web, which is basically description of “who eats who” in the environment.

It goes something like this:

fox eats rabbit => fox poops into the soil => the living soil then absorbs the poop(which includes the rabbit) => fruit and vegetable plants absorb that exact same soil to grow => humans eat those same fruits and vegetables

This process happens EVERYWHERE in nature.

So even if you’re a vegetarian, you’re technically eating dead animals, albeit in a more indirect liquid form. But last time I checked, vegetarians were all about saving lives no matter what.

Don’t be a vegetarian

Despite everything you’ve heard, vegetarians are NOT the health conscious animal saving saints that they’re made out to be.

Instead, vegetarians:

  • Support the destruction of ecosystems to obtain their food
  • Kill millions of small animals, bugs, and microorganisms
  • Aren’t saving their health since there’s absolutely zero scientific proof showing that meat is bad for you
  • Are actually eating meat without knowing it
  • Are simply misinformed about every aspect of the vegetarian lifestyle

So if you’re a vegetarian, then hopefully I’ve done my job to piss you off beyond belief, and if I converted you, then that’s cool too.

Once again, the only reason why you should be a vegetarian is for religious reasons or because you have a some chronic disease that doesn’t allow you to eat meat. But even if you’re a vegetarian for religious reasons, you might want to start questioning the logic behind your beliefs, just saying.

Alright guys, be sure to share this article with every single vegetarian you know, and to close out this article I have 3 parting words:

FUCK YOU PETA

  1. 1) You aren’t saving the lives of animals.
This point is wrong. You have a choice to pay someone to kill an animal for food. There is choice one, paying to kill an animal, or not paying to kill an animal. Your first point gives me a headache.

    x Wrong

    2) There is absolutely zero scientific proof showing that going vegetarian is healthy.
Someone Doesn’t know how to look up statistics and studies. So you don’t understand how science works. Understandable because nutrition isn’t being taught in our society. I will give you that one.

    x Wrong

    3) You don’t get to eat meat.
Meat smells and tastes like asshole. This isn’t a real reason/fact that any of us can learn from. This point actually wastes everyone’s time by reading it.

x Wrong (kinda, since this really isn’t really factual you can’t be right or wrong. But you inferred it as factual, so again you are wrong.)

    4) Vegetarians are actually eating animals without knowing it!
Everyone is also drinking dinosaur piss and shit. Wow, we actually learn something from you. We understand how matter works and how it always recycles itself. This is kinda day one information. Doesn’t really effect anyone anyways because it’s being “recycled” and perfectly purified by nature.

o Right (only because this is incredibly obvious.)

    1/4 right
    20% F

This post is a waste of data, waste of time reading, and a waste of thought power. EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT SO YOU DON”T LOOK STUPID! I am just looking out for you. No child left behind.

    1. First of all, the animals are bred and killed regardless of one person becoming a vegetarian, of course an entire population will change some things. However, someone will eat the meat. The author is correct.
Second point, meat is a very good source of protein which is essential for every human. Vegetarians are essentially gimping themselves by limiting their diet to a very few certain sources of protein. There isn’t any advantage to overall health however.
Third point, you say “meat smells and tastes like asshole.” This is an opinion and immediately makes your comment irrelevant.
Final point, I’m almost positive that the author was joking so don’t take it so damn serious.

    2. Jesus H Christ….I don’t usually use the Lord’s name in vein when I comment on an article but…….yeah. This article is just garbage and non-sense. Yup, I am a vegetarian but I don’t preach about my diet choices. If someone asks questions I will tell them or if they are curious/want more info. about how to go about being a vegetarian healthily I will try and help, BUT no one (especially people that eat meat) likes to hear someone preach about how wrong their diet or lifestyle is…much like no one wants to be told their religious preferences are wrong. Soooo why the hell are you telling vegetarians and vegans they are wrong when I’m sure you wouldn’t want a vegan to correct you on how shitty it is to eat factory-farmed meat….doesn’t help your case either that your article is pure bullshit….and you just come off as kind of a douchebag/asshat.

    3. I mean there is a mass production of meat and lots of animals are killed daily, you really think that if you become vegetarian suddenly someone is going to say… Hmmmm lets stop making meat and stop earning money because 20 or 30 people now are vegetarian….and the normal people… They will starve.
      Noooo

  2. I am sorry but you really put ZERO research into this article, even if it was written in 2011.
    1) Animals are killed in large scale agriculture. Nobody denies that, and yes more then one animal dies compared to the “one cow” that will be killed. But what do cows eat? Grains that we farm for them. Cows eat about 30 lbs of grain per day and often live over a year before being slaughtered. So what about all the animals killed by harvesting the grain to feed the cows?
    2) There is a plethora of evidence that whole food raw plant based diets are much healthier than a diet contain meat. The china study was not debunked by Minger. Minger is an ENGLISH major who has a nutrition blog. The author of the china study, Campbell, has 3 PhDs one in biochemistry, one in nutrition, and one in microbiology. Campbell actually took the time to refute everything Minger said, I’m sure you can find it online somewhere. A raw plant based diet is the only diet that has been shown to REVERSE atherosclerosis and other signs of heart disease.
    3) There are many vegan dishes that taste better than meat but if taste is the only thing stopping you from being ethical I’m not sure you have much of a chance either way.
    4) This point is stupid as it has nothing to do with the real reasons for being a vegan.

I am personally a vegan for three main reasons 1) Health 2) global sustainability (raising livestock for meat is the largest contributor to global climate change, and is more detrimental than transportation)
    3) While I thinking hunting meat is perfectly acceptable and ethical, true pasture raised livestock is near impossible to find and factory farming is an atrocity. I do not want to contribute to such a practice.

  3. Your article is FUCKING stupid!! I have never read such a bullshit article ever!! I am not a vegetarian.. but your arguments are such a crap.. you do not need to give such baseless argument to eat non-veg.. chopped head of cow and goat !! r u fucking kidding?? think about some different species eating chopped head of our kids!! how does it feel?? we are human so what?? we can do anything??

  4. This article was hysterical. I read a few of the Meat is murder responses but who cares. Those idiots will fight to the end to save a bunny but wouldn’t help a human ever. The Fuck you Peta was awesome. Haha. I had to send this one on to a friend. And to all you freaks out there in crazy land, I am about to go eat Wilbur pork chops. I named him in honor of you idiots before I got the side of pig sitting in my freezer. MMMM, good. I may also make a steak for my dog just to be an asshole. Haha. Enjoy!

    1. Sean,

You sound dumb as a box or rocks. Some people like animals/care for them more than humans for a reason…..First reason being animals are innocent and contain no malice. Second reason being because there are a lot of dumbass human beings like yourself in this world unfortunately. Please do everyone a favor and do not breed. I’m sure your poor mother feels bad that she gave birth to a complete dipshit.

      1. Animals are innocent eh? How about the animals that eat other animals? This cycle happens everywhere in nature.Scientists say the universe is made up of neutrons, protons and electrons. They forgot to mention morons. You’re proof evolution can go in reverse.

    2. That Wilbur thing was so funny. Bro like I’m an All American MLB @ OSU and meat is like a staple food. I mean, think about if the early humans decided that hunting is cruel. Society is oversensitive these days and its because of u pussy ass, tree hugging faggots who do yoga and think that hanging out at starbucks makes u smart hahahaha. Have ur own opinions and stop following what other people are thinking. Animal cruelty my ass. Bacon is so fuckin good and I’m glad that a pig had to get its throat slit so i can enjoy my jimmy dean bacon breakfast bowl. y’all need to chill out, smoke some weed, and go munch out at mickey d’s

      1. Hey. I noticed you think all people who do not eat meat are all tree-hugging, starbucks-staying, yoga-doing idiots. Have you heard of Bill Clinton? He is not a tree-hugging, starbucks-staying, yoga-doing idiot. And can you guess what? He does not eat meat! “What is this?” you may say, “Someone who does not eat meat isn’t, in my terms, an idiot? I am so shocked that I was wrong about a society with over 16 million people in the U.S. alone.” How thick could you get? Also, would you be glad if it was your throat slit to feed a hungry tiger? I don’t think so.

        1. In March, Chelsea Clinton called her father “probably the world’s most famous vegan.” And she was probably right. There’s only one problem: Bill Clinton is not actually a vegan.

Clinton’s vegan credentials became a topic of debate last month after the New York Times profiled one of his doctors, bestselling diet-book author Mark Hyman. Clinton has spoken openly about becoming a vegan in 2010 after another of his famous diet doctors, Dean Ornish, convinced him that the diet could reverse his heart disease. So it was confusing to read in the Times that one of the first things Hyman did upon treating Clinton was to “wean” him off of his vegan diet. More confusing still, Ornish told me that Clinton has not changed his diet since 2010 and that the Times piece was misleading.

Clinton’s office didn’t respond to a request for comment. (Clinton has previously admitted to eating salmon or an omelet once a week and hasn’t let that stand in the way of calling himself a vegan.) But while the debate has focused on whether Clinton is technically a vegan, the most interesting revelation from the Times article may be the very fact that Hyman has been advising Clinton at the same time as Ornish.
Hyman and Ornish share plenty of beliefs about nutrition. They both insist that the right diet and lifestyle can transform your health without pharmaceutical intervention. And they both recommend a plant-heavy diet that’s low in sugar and refined carbohydrates. Ornish has even blurbed one of Hyman’s diet books.

But Ornish’s name is almost synonymous with “low-fat.” The diet he prescribes for reversing heart disease allows for almost no saturated fat and less than 10 percent of total calories from fat. Hyman, meanwhile, has practically turned his blog into a paean to dietary fat—last year, he wrote that “fat does not make you fat or sick”—and he sees nothing wrong with animal products so long as the animals are properly raised. In February, he published an article on The Huffington Post, “Eggs Don’t Cause Heart Attacks — Sugar Does,” in which he wrote, “We’ve been told to swap eggs for cereal. But that recommendation is dead wrong. In fact, it’s very likely that this bad advice has killed millions of Americans.”

If it seems strange that Clinton, who suffers from cardiac disease, ended up with two doctors who have diametrically opposed beliefs about the dietary causes of heart attacks, it makes at least a little more sense in the context of his broader nutrition journey. Clinton has often joked about his bad eating habits. While his love of McDonald’s and Arkansas barbecue made him a more relatable candidate, what makes him most like the masses isn’t his mindless gluttony but his decades-long struggle to figure out what he should be eating. If Bill Clinton—an extremely smart man who has had access to the best medical minds in the world—can’t decide which diet is best, then what hope is there for the rest of us?

  5. I feel embarrassed for you while reading your article. I have to assume that you ate too much beef and have already gone helplessly insane.
This is the dumbest I have ever read.
I would write more and insult you a lot more, but you already wasted too much of my time. Thank you for nothing!

  6. Jesus, mate. What did we ever do to you? Your ‘proof’ is ignorant at best. Being a vegan/vegetarian is not about ‘saving animals’. We know that when we choose avocado toast over bacon, that pig does not resurrect and float to heaven, released of ailments and harm. However, not buying into the animal agriculture system is a means by which some of us like to say “hey! All this needless slaughter really hashes my mellow. I am not okay with it and so I will not take part in it.” That’s it, man. That’s all we’re saying. Please stop trying to bring us down just because your ego’s reducing at the sight of other people making statistically moral advances while you’re not. We all contribute peace in our own way. I know you do too. And that’s super awesome. We’re not trying to save the world, we’re just discontented with certain aspects of farming, and feel that we, personally don’t want to participate in it. Just stop the pushing of others down, man. It doesn’t make you look any better. You just end up looking like a mean old fuckin’ walnut. And I know how lovely you are on the inside. So let that light shine brother!!

    1. FACT: What you eat doesn’t fucking influence how your fart smells. It’s just outside gas (oxygen, co2, ect.) that went through your digestive tract. The smell is the smell of your inside body. Please, fuck off vegan cunt.

  7. I actually hate this. WTF! Im a vegetatrian and have been for a year. The thing is i’m mad at all the point you made. Which are irrelevant by the way. I’m more mad how you were talking about us. I get it its your opinion but there was no need to call us all idiots. You were just trying to get your point across and that shows how stupid it is. When we try to put our point across we don’t need to use that langue. You know why? Because the facts do the taking. If being a vegan or a vegetarian makes us happy and feel good about ourselves then you have no right to judge us. If this was meant to make me think twice about being a vegetarian then your attempt has failed. If anything it just assures me that i’m never eating meat again. But i would like to thank you for inspiring me to keep doing what i’m doing. Thank you i hope you get aids! xx

    1. This post is so hysterical I nearly shit my pants. All of his points made perfect sense, but ofc to vegetarian dumbshits like you can’t accept the truth. Stop getting so butthurt that being a Vegan kills animals, just indirectly. God made animals to be eaten, and live off each other. The only reason you feel good about yourself is because your forcing yourself to believe that your saving animals lives by being a Vegan, but the fucking truth is that you are just killing more animals through eating processed grains, vegetables that are sprayed with bug-killing antioxidiants, and by thinking that animals have priority over your own damn species.

Damn, Vegan-fucks like you are screwed up

      1. Firstly…
Learn to use the english language.
The noun ‘vegan,’ is not a proper noun.
It does not require a capital.
        Basic stuff.
        What exactly is ‘lossing’ weight?
And really, when you can tell me that you are perfectly comfortable, as a carnivore (and please research the idea of ‘carnivorous,’ – as it relates (r DOESN’T relate, to humans) – with killing and ‘processing’

      2. ‘All of his points made perfect sense.’
        You incalculable moron.
People like you are a ‘median demographic.’
You’ll accept without question another moron like the one stoking these posts – with absolutely no credible references – statements pulled from the depths of ignorance – and exhibiting a thinly veiled tug-of-war
between spurious expression and the authentic self.
I believe I’ve made myself clear.
Use a dictionary for the ‘big’ words.
        And one more ‘tip.’
When you use ‘your,’ you are using the possessive form of ‘you.’
What you were attempting, was the conjunction of
‘you’ and ‘are’ – as in ‘you’re.’
And lastly – I think your (see that) pontification that ‘God made animals to be eaten, and to live of each other,’ – belies a Creationist skew.
In addition, you’re (there it is again!) trumpeting the
view that ‘animals’ evolved to live this way.
        Not humans.
        Here endeth the lesson.

  8. To be honest we are all here because you all searched “why vegetarians are stupid” simply looking for a reason to bitch and complain. I personally agree with this article. You drink from water bottles yet you don’t eat animals because of “animal rights” in the end you are all doing something to contribute to loss of habitat and animal life whether you take the lazy way of saying you save animals by not eating them or if you do eat them.

  9. love them mcdoubles 🙂 i bet if u compare vegetarians, who “work out” (gay yoga), to people like me who eat balanced but still love the meat. i bet I’m x100 stronger than whoever is a gay vegan tofu-eatin motherfucker ahahaha

    1. I’m sure you do like your McDouble. I’m also sure that you assume all men who do yoga are gay, that all people who do yoga can lift a maximum of about 10 pounds, and that all vegans are gay, tofu eating freaks. Yoga is actually quite difficult. It increases flexibility and requires loads of muscles strength. I would ask you to try it, but apparently you think you are a hundred times stronger than all vegans, and you already seem pretty flexible to have your head in your butt. Also, there is a thing called sodium. You can find a third of daily value in a single McDouble. But you can only find 390 calories in one burger.

      1. Processed vegetarian protein options such as tofu can cause more greenhouse gas pollution than farming meat. A 2010 report from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) found that the production of soy-based proteins such as tofu could contribute more to greenhouse gas emissions than eating locally produced meat. [16] According to a peer-reviewed 2009 study, giving up all animal products would only give a 7% reduction in green house gas emissions, [106] not enough to be worth the dietary sacrifice.

  10. Quite literally the dumbest article I have ever read. The omnivore argument loses every single time when debating against the herbivore.
    Exhibit a
    Destroying the environment.
Do some reasearch on deforestation. Yes the major cause of deforestation globally is for crops. Agriculture. Grain. But are you seriously stupid enough to say that those crops being grown are directly for human consumption? NOOOOO!!!! They are for the consumption of animal agriculture. Later to be consumed by humans in the form of meat. Are you really ignorant enough to say that by eating grains and vegetables, vegetarians are equal contributors to habitat loss, deforestation and the deaths of numerous ecosystems!?!? Do you know how much a cow must consume in grain/ water to produce a pound of beef!? Do you know how much land it takes to raise 1 cow!? It’s simply unsustainable. Read a book, look on the Internet for valid sources before ranting aimlessly to justify your “addiction”.
    Exhibit b
Justify why you can’t be a healthy vegetarian? And don’t fill this feed with bullshit about protein, iron or becoming anemic. Heme and non heme. Look it up. Most vegetarians won’t say meat is unhealthy for, just that you can be healthy with out it.
    Exhibit c
The future of our planet for children and grandchildren.
People like the person writing this article, the people filling the comment section with ignorant replies about how meat tastes good, or biased uneducated opinions on why being vegetarian is stupid need to realize that being vegetarian is far from ignorant or stupid. It’s not always about the welfare of animals. How pigs, chicken and cattle are brutally mistreated to satisfy the horrible addiction the human race has that is eating meat.
It’s also about the environment. That fact that consuming meat is 100 percent unsustainable. With the constant growing population of our planet, the demand for meat is going to continuously increase until it can no longer be met. Until there are no more trees in the rainforest to be cut down. Until there is no more land in the prairies for cattle to graze on. And no more fresh water to spare. Not only is it unsustainable, it can no longer be considered natural. The human population outnumbers that of any other species in the world making it impossible to naturally compete anymore.

So read over this article again and think or the things that have been stated. Look up some reasearch articles and develop a valid opinion. Meat is an addiction. It’s a taste and a product that civilization has taken for granted and become accustom to. Being vegetarian is not ignorant, or ducking stupid. It’s being a conscious and responsible consumer. It’s being an activist for the environment and the future of our planet.
    🙂

    1. So vegetarians aren’t equal contributors to deforestation, yet somehow meat eats are equal contributors to animal abuse? That’s a double standard. Vegetarians buy these agricultural products from companies that contribute to deforestation because they are harvesting it on a massive scale. Thus, they are contributing to it.

This is the same argument used to demonize meat eaters because meat eaters buy meat from companies that treat animals cruelly, thus they are equal contributors.

You say that the deforestation and habitat loss is due to farming for agriculture for animals. If humans became complete herbivores and nobody ate meat, which is what vegetarians and vegans seem to want, do you think that the farming for animals would stop and the current amount farmed for human consumption would stay the same? Unlikely. More agriculture companies would spring up to make a profit, prompting more and more agriculture farming, thus equal or more deforestation and habitat loss would occur.

    2. I am not quite sure why I stumbled upon this article, but it reminds me so much of ever person who has a problem with my decision to not eat meat. They usually are the people who do not understand most things I side with as a whole. On the other hand I’ve met very great minded carnivores, who try to eat as sustainable as possible. ( with meat, it obviously gets tricky). Somewhere along the line humans slip. The guy that eats garbage fastfood burgers can give you a full novel on why vegetarians suck, because he’s defending his own ego. Surely, as a person of the 21st century, “educated” and what not, you’d be aware of the impact that this meat has on the world, the future? Whatever, i don’t know what I’m saying anymore. But thanks for your reply. Fuck. this era is goofy.

  11. Actually there is scientific proof that meat is bad for your health. The proof is by the World Health Oranization and they say that meat causes cancer and other diseases.

  12. I’ve just stumbled across this article and genuinely cant believe the stupidity of some people, did you forget to evolve? I’m going to go through each of the 4 points you made and explain how each one is just utter horse shit and before you all start insulting me, calling me a ‘butt-hurt vegan’ ect, im not a vegan or a vegetarian, i can just call bullshit when i see it. Point number 1 “You aren’t saving the lives of animals”, no one thinks that if you chose to eat a salad over a steak that the cow is saved from being that steak, you gotta give people a little credit here, the idea is that if the whole world gradually became vegetarian then the meat industry would cease to exist, which it would. The animals may still be slaughtered but the people who choose to be vegan/vegetarian obviously dont want to be a part of that. Point number 2 “There is absolutely zero scientific proof showing that going vegetarian is healthy”, im not sure where you got this deluded idea from but it doesnt take a genius to know that if you eat less fat, there is less risk of heart disease, simple, read a textbook. Point number 3 “You don’t get to eat meat”, uh thats kind of the point.. but seriously im pretty sure that telling someone who has chosen this lifestyle that the no longer get to chew on a piece of dead flesh, they’re gonna be cool with it. Last but certainly not least (because this is the most ridiculous, in my opinion) point number 4 “Vegetarians are actually eating animals without knowing it!”, first of all plants dont “absorb soil” seriously READ A TEXTBOOK! they retrieve the minerals from the soil in order to grow, yes the soil may be fertilised by the manure but you wouldnt find traces of dead bunny in the fucking vegetables! Besides thats just the circle of life, Mufasa literally explains it in the lion king. I’m really quite surprised that you could include a section like this and actually refer to other people as idiots! yes tiny organisms and wildlife may be killed during the harvest of crops but is that really anything in comparison to an animal being kept in captivity all its life, suffering, to then be slaughtered in such a barbaric way? no. The fact that you class a vegetable as meat just because the soil it grows in has been fertilised is absolutely hilarious!! Someone with as little intelligence as you really should not be dictating how others should live their lives. I may not be a vegan/vegetarian but im not going to stick my head in the sand and deny the fact that the meat/dairy industry is horrifically cruel. People who choose a meat free lifestyle should not be ridiculed for doing what i believe to be the right thing just because you have a fragile ego. I believe that if you want to eat meat, do it, if you dont want to eat meat, dont! No one has the right to tell people otherwise. If i were you i would refrain from contaminating the internet any further with your ‘opinion’. (you asshole)

    1. TBH there is NO(LITERALLY NO) study to back up your “textbook” claims saying that by eating less (saturated animal) fat you decrease your risk of coronary heart disease. Stop throwing around “facts” when you obviously dont know if they’re backed up by science or not.

    2. Hello! There’s something called free speech, so legally whoever posted the article is able to write an opinion. Dude, vegetarians kill plants to get food, so that means everyone gets less oxygen everytime vegetarians eat. Use common sense, with less plants you get global warming because the plants that are still alive can only suck up so much CO2 in the atmosphere. What you wrote is clearly a waste of time and go find a hen because that’s the only way you get laid on.

  13. Of course being a vegetarian can’t save animals from being slaughtered.Certainly being a vegetarian may be good and bad for health.I think being a vegetarian is quite inflexible when it comes to a situation where I have to eat meat. So…being a Flexitarian is the best way to show sympathy towards animals.I avoid eating meat as much as possible.
