Note: This post is not meant to target those who are vegetarians for religious reasons or those who are vegetarians because they have some chronic disease that doesn’t allow them to eat meat. Instead, I’m targeting every single idiot out there who is a vegetarian for reasons like animal cruelty and health benefits.
Edit 9/10/14: Alright time to clear some air here. I started FitMole back in June 2011 and wrote this article in Aug 2011. Back when I started the blog I was trying to discover the best way to generate more traffic. So I thought to myself, “what’s the best way to get people talking?” So I came up with this article and the slightly edgy, and some might even call immature headline. And yes, I know the article can be seen as a bit offensive and ignorant. I still stand by my claims 100% that going vegetarian isn’t healthier than eating meat, but I do take full responsibility for some of the slightly ignorant comments I’ve made about animal cruelty. Other than that, can the person who keeps sending me death threat emails stop now 🙂
First off I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I normally don’t swear in the post title, but I just have to emphasize how stupid it is to become a vegetarian. It’s stupid, ridiculous, unnecessary, stupid, and did I mention it’s FUCKING stupid.
I have a couple of friends and family members that are vegetarians, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate them. I just can’t understand why they decided to follow this lifestyle.
When I ask them why they decided to become a vegetarian, they give me reasons like “Oh, it makes me feel good,” “Because meat is bad for your health,” or “I don’t want to harm animals.” Whenever I hear these reasons, I just put on my best “nod and pretend to agree with you” face.

So why is becoming a vegetarian stupid? Lets take a look:
1) You aren’t saving the lives of animals
I get it. You don’t like it when the heads of baby cows and pigs are chopped off, but do you really think eating that tofu burger is saving lives.
Fruits, vegetables, and grains are a staple among vegetarian diets, but did you know that millions of animals die just so you can enjoy that piece of bread? Eating foods like grains means destroying ecosystems and all of its inhabitants. It means killing all the little animals, birds, bugs, and microorganisms that live among the fields.
Do you know how many little animals and microorganisms die when farmers use machines to plow through wheat fields? The answer is a lot more than 1 cow.
As cheesy as it sounds, everything in life requires sacrifice. Animals are killed to get meat and ecosystems are destroyed to get grains. So the next time I’m eating a steak, don’t you dare judge me for killing a cow.
2) There is absolutely zero scientific proof showing that going vegetarian is healthy
When I want to believe something, I need proof. I need definite scientific proof.
And no, proof doesn’t mean reading a quote in Shape or MensHealth magazine. In order to convince me about anything I need to see a scientific study that shows causation not correlation.
For example, eating less food will make you loss weight. This is a stone cold fact that will remain true no matter what.
However, there is absolutely ZERO proof showing that going vegetarian will decrease your risk of heart disease, cancer, or whatever nasty stuff you can think of.
The only thing we have are thousands of studies showing a correlation between an increased risk of disease and an increase in meat consumption. We have studies that conclude that eating meat “may increase” your risk of heart disease, but this doesn’t mean crap. It’s inconclusive and doesn’t prove anything. Saying that your risk of heart disease “may increase” from eating red meat is like saying you “may” be able to breath fire if you eat enough jalapenos.
And yes, before you get all crazy on me, I have read the China Study a.k.a the vegetarian’s wet dream. For those who don’t know, the China Study was a big study conducted by Dr. Campbell who basically concluded that meat is killer.
While the China Study garnered a ton of media attention a couple years ago, it is also an incredibly flawed study despite it’s massive scale. But talking about all the flaws in the China Study is beyond the scope of this article, so let me turn you over to a great article written by Denise Minger of Raw Food SOS. She did an amazing job in analyzing the China Study and basically debunked every single aspect of it.
People need to stop believing the mainstream media, and need to start looking at the actual research and facts.
[The leaders of anti-vegetarians]
3) You don’t get to eat meat
I know this is a bit obvious, but being a vegetarian means that you don’t get to eat meat. EVER. That means no steak, bacon, horse, or BBQ ribs. The closest thing you’ll ever get to meat is some glued together crap made of wheat and soy.
And please, don’t tell me that your veggie burger tastes better than my double bacon cheeseburger, okay? Don’t tell me “Oh, but it tastes just like the real thing.” No it doesn’t, you rationalizing crazy person. It doesn’t matter how hard you try, a piece of tofu will never taste as good as a greasy piece of beef.
So if vegetarians are so concerned about their health, then why do they opt for highly processed foods likes breads and cereals that are not found in nature as opposed to real animal meat which has been around since…. forever. It makes no freakin sense.
4) Vegetarians are actually eating animals without knowing it!
This past summer, I took a Biology 101 class at a community college to fulfill some general education requirements for my degree. While the class was a complete waste of my time and I pretty much bull-shitted my way through it, I did learn something quite interesting.
I learned about the food web, which is basically description of “who eats who” in the environment.
It goes something like this:
fox eats rabbit => fox poops into the soil => the living soil then absorbs the poop(which includes the rabbit) => fruit and vegetable plants absorb that exact same soil to grow => humans eat those same fruits and vegetables
This process happens EVERYWHERE in nature.
So even if you’re a vegetarian, you’re technically eating dead animals, albeit in a more indirect liquid form. But last time I checked, vegetarians were all about saving lives no matter what.
Don’t be a vegetarian
Despite everything you’ve heard, vegetarians are NOT the health conscious animal saving saints that they’re made out to be.
Instead, vegetarians:
- Support the destruction of ecosystems to obtain their food
- Kill millions of small animals, bugs, and microorganisms
- Aren’t saving their health since there’s absolutely zero scientific proof showing that meat is bad for you
- Are actually eating meat without knowing it
- Are simply misinformed about every aspect of the vegetarian lifestyle
So if you’re a vegetarian, then hopefully I’ve done my job to piss you off beyond belief, and if I converted you, then that’s cool too.
Once again, the only reason why you should be a vegetarian is for religious reasons or because you have a some chronic disease that doesn’t allow you to eat meat. But even if you’re a vegetarian for religious reasons, you might want to start questioning the logic behind your beliefs, just saying.
Alright guys, be sure to share this article with every single vegetarian you know, and to close out this article I have 3 parting words:
FUCK YOU PETA

god im so tired of vegetarians. think about it, our ancestors had a steady diet of both plants and animals. their diet was filled with fats and proteins. now adays, our diet is almost all bread, carbohydrates, and artificial sugars. i don’t understand why people can’t see this. The pharmeceutical industry and veganized morons can’t seem to grasp this concept. think about it, back in the 1800’s, everyone ate red meat (alot of times raw) raw milk, and fruits and vegetables that were untouched by growth hormones or pesticides. back then, heart disease just didnt exist. now, they’re telling us that the exact thing that actually was saving us from developing bad genetics and poor diets, is somehow magically bad. if lifestock is freerange, grassfed, and not locked up in fucking battery cages like they are now, the food is healthier. I know this sounds like some stupid spirituality vodoo hodoo or something, but it is scientificaly known that the healthier the animal is, the healthier their meat will be. animals are just not ment to eat grain. thats why the meat from cows that are locked up 24/7 and fed grains are so unhealthy producers of meat. AND, since feeding them grain, they dont get the right nutrition from this that they would from grass, they get sick, and the farmers give them antibotics, which kills all the good bacteria and living enzymes in the meat when its eaten. its just meaty trash. WHY? because they wanna conserve money. of course, only a capitalist nation like this can screw up the health of other people. RAW MILK CAN CURE LACTOS INTOLERENCE! i know it sounds weird, but i myself CAN drink raw milk. it tastes better, is healither, and the same reason pasturized milk is unhealthy is because the enzymes are boiled away. it completely makes drinking milk pointless and forces them to put artificial chemicals into it just so it tastes normal. Many people can drink it because its…well….actually real milk! Natural butter straight from grassfed freerange cows is unbileviably healthy. Do you know that crap they call “butter” under the lable of country crock? that stuff is GREY GOOP before they fill it with YELLOW FOOD COLORING. its just margirin oil. which they use to say that butter is unhealthy when in fact its not even butter and REAL butter is healthy. and that stuff: I CANT BELIEVE ITS NOT BUTTER!? omg, the ignorance immenating from tv is MASSIVE. like thats something to brag about… but anyway:natural localized hunny has also proven to cure seasonal allergies. if you buy raw UNFILTERED honey, it really can. of course, big pharma peddler finds the need to push his allegra on everyone who gets a sniffle…i haven’t had allergies since. the dessert wildflower unfiltered honey from nevada really helps in the summer here. Then theres maple syrup. RAW syrup without anything added actually has compounds that can REGULATE BLOOD SUGAR. in a way, can be a basic cure for diabetes. things like coconut oil are basically literally natural antibotic. its called oil pulling. swish in your mouth for 10 min and spit. it can detox your body (don’t do too much though, it can make you feel like crap if you do it everyday bacause it will eventually get to your good bacteria) the people that tell you to eat eggwhites are quiet arrogant. yes, eat the part of the egg that has about as much nutrition as rubber pff. cholesterol is one of the biggest myths ever in the health industry, good god, i want to shoot people who say this crap. YOUR ENTIRE BRAIN IS MADE OF CHOLESTEROL. no one can tell me that lowering cholesterol is good, because lacking it makes your body stop growing basically. statins, are drugs that pharma basically lied about to get out on the market. (there is so much evidence to this i dont want to write about it) im telling you, if i have sever pain, i either smoke cannabis, or self inject with bee sting treatments.its basically natures morphine shots. You can find these treatments online and certain shows about holistics have shown this. hey, atleast there’s no chance to get addicted to an artifically chemical synthesized version of natural opium called MORPHINE. im telling you, its about holistics. believe or not, statistically, people with higher cholesterol have lower rate of heart attacks and heart disease, cancer etc. think about it, most of these health problems we have now adays like alzheimers, down syndrome, autism, cancer, heart problems, liver problems, etc. can all be atributed to poor nutrition. do you know that out of all the years of med school doctors have to go through they only get 2-3 weeks of nutritional training! WTF!? nutrition is what health IS. not pills. STOP PUSHING PILLS FOR EVERY DAMN THING THAT HAPPENS TO US! and people wonder why america has so many health problems like obesity, cancer, aids, all that crap when countries who still honor the old traditions, where they eat raw meat, raw milk, and raw milk cheeses, think of this problem in their country as virtually non existent. i garantee you, if you go to france, (or really anywhere else in the world) the only fat people you will usually see are americans. and of course, the only country that is higher in diabetic rates? INDIA, who are basically 100% vegetarian and eat too much grain/bread/wheat.ANOTHER COINCIDENCE. the first alarming rates of heart disease appeared around 1900, when your very good friend CRISCO came out. haha it just sickens me that ancient medicine/holistics has been around for thousands of years yet somehow a 200 year old system of modern medicine thinks they know better..haha
and the thing about vegetarians being sad about hurting/killing animals? HA! not only has admin proven this trash wrong with the cycle, but think of it this way, other animals don’t feel bad for killing them. you don’t see tigers setting up PETA camps all over the world. stop feeling sorry for them, its the natural order of things, ssssory??….
also, for you vegans who are so strict for health reasons, GET THE SOYBEANS OUT OF YOUR ASS AND READ:
ART OF FERMENTION
POTTENGERS CATS-a study in nutrition-Francis m pottenger MD and Weston A Price DDS
KNOW YOUR FATS-the complete primer for understanding the nutrition of fats, oils, and cholesterol
why do you think that moron jim fixx died of heart disease? vegetarian, ate nothing but tofu, and any vitamins he lacked because of not eating meat he ate in supplements DEBUNKED LONG AGO HOWEVER: you can’t even digest those pills without fat. jim was an ignorant moron and look where he is now…
I don’t understand why someone else being a vegetarian has something to do with you? It’s their own choice to make. I for one have been on and off vegetarianism for about 5 years, and have recently started again because as I don’t want to eat something that has been tortured. Yes one person isn’t going to make a difference in the meat manufacturing world but I can still choose to not be apart of it. I like knowing I’m eating a guilt free meal, and whatever bugs were killed In the process of harvesting wheat were not tortured, or skinned alive or boiled alive, they lived a free life, not in cages and aren’t bred in disgusting conditions. Now I don’t preach to every meat eater and tell them they’re wrong and disgusting because its their choice to make, not mine. And I respect that, so you respect other people’s choices.
are you responding to my comments or the guy who wrote the article?
You do realize that the cows eat the grains too, destroying ecosystems, right? But as a human eating a peice of bread that required not so much grain, compared to wrong a hamburger In Which the cows ate tons of grains in their lives, it is way worse for the ecosystems to eat meat.
Have a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsQhQTyOKMI
(This is for the animal cruelty part)
Then have a look at Food inc.
(for the environmental and human suffering part)
Then have a look at The Hidden Face of Meat. (for everything)
Then, maybe, ask yourself why you feel the need to be so aggressive and insulting about this topic. Do you feel threatened? Uncomfortable? Do you have a hard time accepting the world around you and the many differences it holds?
Try to open your mind and educate yourself. You seem to have a lot of energy to spend, I’m sure you will be able to think through things deeper than that.
Peace.
Food inc. was made by al gore. So was the inconvenient truth. That Movie was proven wrong years ago
Hmmm…I don’t know where to start. I have no problem with other people consuming meat, and I even like debating over the benefits of vegetarianism, but this is just stupid. I found this article while searching the internet for any health problems vegetarians might have, and I have to say this is the most laughable article I’ve ever read. To begin with, I understand that microorganisms/insects die when wheat is harvested, but think about it: if you get some five meals out of a single cow’s life, then how many more living animals/microorganisms died to feed all the cows one person eats? And yes, you might not have found any scientific proof supporting the health benefits of vegetarians, could you please link me to the “definite scientific proof” as to why being a vegetarian is a f***ing stupid idea? And if you actually took the darn time to read the study you linked to in your little article, perhaps you would have noticed that the risk of heart disease is actually increased based on the results of over a half mil people?
Here’s my favorite part: “a veggie burger tastes no better than my double bacon cheeseburger”. It seems you have developed an acquired taste for lard and sodium. 🙂
And somehow we are supporting the slaughter of animals by eating plants that grow off of dead organisms’ remains? Here’s the difference: purchasing slaughtered animals increases the demand for more slaughtering. While I have no interest in trying to stop this cycle, I’m not increasing the demand for living, feeling animals to lose their life. You don’t have fertilizer companies grinding up animals to feed plants. And even if they did, then as I said earlier, I’d be able to say I killed far fewer things than a meat-eater who ate so many cows, each individual one relying on all that food.
And just one more thing: vegetarians are not trying to be “health conscious animal saving saints”. We’re just a group of people that give a cent about our welfare and that of other animals. If you want to eat meat all day, then go for it. Just please don’t tell me you think you know what’s really in vegetarianism.
To close out this comment I have three parting words:
SCREW MEAT SALAD
I sorta agree.
awesome blog made me laugh and love meat 😀
You know you speak truth when all those stupid vegaterians start to call you arrogant and come up with strange thought problems for you to try to decide if its more moral not to kill a cow or die starving blar blar blar. Vegatarians are evolutionary defunct. Canine and incisor teeth are designed to cut through meat. Our teeth would look like teeth of a cow if we were ment to eat vegatables only. Vegatarians are just the brainwashed few that walk around with the indoctrination of the The Vegetarian Society which is a registared charity with close links to christian religious institutions.
If it wasn’t for all the imported vegatable types there would not be the variety of vegatables to support vegetarianism on a local level. This is the main reason why vegetarianism is a newish phenomenone in the west.
I would quite happily kill an animal and drian its blood for black pudding/ blood sausage.
ya, i feel you. you know the type right? Vegans: they live in places like miami, their usually named “todd” or “wayne” they drive a prius, and don’t shut up about gun control and the enviroment. They all seem to have a faggish lisp too.
rednecks: eat NOTHING but meat:live in a trailer in alabama, usually named cletus, bob, or joemama, drive old diesel 50’s or 60’s pickups, the mom is a meth tweaker, the dad is on the piss soaked sofa all day with a budlight in 1 hand and the remote in another with american gladiators and nascar on, and dont brush teeth.
smart people/cowboys/naturalists: eat healthy fats like i proved in my comments, avoid reality tv, live in wilderness areas, plenty of both meats and vegetables/fruits, (might use a horse instead of a car) hike alot, and don’t listen to what the “professionals” say about nutrition.
seriously, lol, doctors basically know nothing about nutrition, and only about what the pharmacies want them taught. my 15 yr old son literally knows more about staying healthy than most doctors, and could destroy them and vegans in an argument.
Thanks for the compliments! 😀
Hey tucker! Did you meet todd?
All of you vegan morons are fucking stupid, it’s survival of the fittest you morons, if you went hiking in Africa and a lion saw you he wouldn’t hesitate to eat you, and don’t give me all the ethics crap we are at the top of the food chain, and answer this would a cow care if he stomped all over you and killed you? Would a crocodile care ol if he ate you. NO so why the heck should we humans care about animals!!!!
I’m seeing that a number of vegetarians on here are suggesting that the reason they have given up meat is because of the way animals are treated in farms and given poor conditions in which to live. Maybe they could consider eating game in that case? I don’t know much about the subject but my understanding is that game refers to animals shot in the wild that have a fighting chance of getting away so even if game, such as pheasants, are hatched in a farm, presumably they are then released into the wild. I find it unlikely that hunters will successfully manage to shoot them all so is this not also helping the ecosystem by adding to the wild population, even if it’s not adding all that much? Maybe research into this should be conducted as well.
I think whoever posted this is really missing the point here. Most vegans and vegetarians I know aren’t obsessed with saving every insect or microorganism. Its more about reducing the amount of unnecessary death. Luckily we live in a time when we have the ability to choose our diet, and some people are selfless enough that they will sacrifice meat out of there diet for a cause that they believe in. I have recently seen some footage of slaughter houses and factory farms and it really is fucking horrible! So I completely empathise with anyone who feels they can do even the smallest thing to reduce the strain on the meat industry. Personally i am a meat eater because I love meat! And don’t really have a lot of will power, but recently I was asked to become a vegan for a week so I gave it a go. After the week I could already feel short term health benefits. I was full of energy and normally im a lazy bastard, my digestive system felt much better off without all the dairy. This post claims that there is 0 scientific proof that a vegetarian lifestyle is healthy… apart from the thousands of scientific reports showing correlation between meat consumption and diseases! Even if thats not a causal argument then still its pretty obvious that a large meat consumption can’t be doing you any better than a low one. Anyway I don’t normally comment on anything like this but the guy who posted this sounds like a bit of a tool and it pissed me off. I think my main point is that most veagans/vegetarians probably aren’t doing it to make themselves look better than you and shove it in your face, they probably just feel that they would rather do some good than eat a cheeseburger.
Really?? eating meat doesn’t cause health problems…. take one stroll through the fat a$$ south and there amazing life expectancy of 49 years old and let me know if you still agree.
Cows produce bathtubfulls of milk. That is way more than enough for the calfs and humans
In most cases, religion is just as stupid a reason to become a vegetarian. I guess if you are relgious involentarily, or at least unvolentarily, this would be the exception.
